São Paulo, Brazil — March 5, 2026 — HYXI (formerly HYXiPOWER) supports a pioneering university research project in Brazil that brings together renewable energy, animal science, and dairy production. Developed by São Paulo State University (UNESP) through the Dairy Cattle Study Group (GEBOL), the initiative demonstrates how advanced solar solutions can enhance academic research, improve operational reliability, and support animal welfare in agricultural environments.
The photovoltaic system is powered by 18 HYXI 2000W 4-in-1 microinverters, connected to 72 photovoltaic modules of 600 W, totaling an installed capacity of 43.2 kWp. The system was installed by Azzon Energia Solar and was designed to meet the specific needs of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science. It supports teaching activities, scientific research, and daily operations at the university’s dairy facilities.
Beyond sustainability goals, the project delivers practical and measurable benefits to the university. The stable and reliable power supply supports critical research equipment, improves operational continuity in dairy production processes, and contributes to better infrastructure conditions related to animal welfare, such as ventilation, lighting, and temperature control. These improvements create a more consistent environment for both livestock management and academic experimentation.
From a research perspective, the system enables the evaluation of solar energy performance in real dairy production conditions, including energy cost reduction, improved efficiency, and long-term operational reliability. As an educational platform, it also plays a key role in training future professionals in agriculture and animal science, reinforcing the integration of renewable energy into modern farming and research
practices.
